Famed Tiki bar chain Trader Vic’s opened its sixth UAE restaurant earlier this month.
Located at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, the venue will be the brand’s 19th global location. It combines opulent interiors with tropical décor, gardens and a terrace that provides views of the sunset.
World of art
Décor includes Taiwanese canoes, tribal masks from Papa New Guinea, traditional Japanese fishing nets and classic Polynesian Tiki statues.
As with all Trader Vic’s restaurants, the kitchen houses a Chinese wood-fired oven. On this occasion this sits within a glass-walled viewing box offset from the kitchen to provide added drama for drinkers and diners alike.
