HM Queen Elizabeth II is soon to have new neighbours. No.1 Palace Street, a development by London property developer Northacre is a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace and will even offer views over the royal residence’s 42–acre gardens. Residents may even get the chance to watch the iconic corgis enjoying their morning walk.
The Grade II–listed property was originally built as one of London’s first prestigious hotels and played host to many of Queen Victoria’s guests on visits from around the British Empire, including statesmen, generals and financiers.
Sophisticated apartments
The development will include re–modelling of the building’s facades in Italian and French Renaissance, Beaux Arts and Queen Anne styles. It will also provide 72 apartments – each of them different in layout.
No.1 Palace Street will also offer over 10,000 sq ft of resident facilities, including a restaurant and a 6,500 sq ft wellness centre comprising a gym, treatment rooms and a swimming pool overlooking a landscaped courtyard.
The development is scheduled to be completed in 2019 and apartments start from £2.145m.
