The American Bar at the Savoy Hotel has been crowned best bar in Europe at The World’s 50 Best Bars awards.

American Bar manager Declan McGurk said: ‘We are incredibly proud of this recognition, which clearly demonstrates our commitment to honouring the legacy of the American Bar while pushing the boundaries of the bar industry.’

Iconic venue

The American Bar makes The World’s 50 Best Bars list for the sixth time in a row, having been included every single year following its reopening in 2010.

The American Bar is one of the longest-surviving cocktail bar in the UK, and one of the most iconic in the world. In January this year it saw the launch of the London Menu – a cocktail menu that aims to take guests on a journey around six of the London boroughs that surround the Savoy.
